Strip Coaching

The Greensboro Fencers Club coordinates strip coaching for athletes at tournaments to help them perform their best.

These are the typical costs for strip coaching at tournaments:

Local Tournament

Local tournaments can be defined as single-day tournaments within a reasonable driving distance of Greensboro, NC.

Coach’s Event Fee: $50 per event

Coach’s Per Diem: $25/day split between attending families

Travel Tournament

Travel tournaments can be defined as multi-day tournaments that require an overnight stay, or any Regional or National Tournaments.

Coach’s Event Fee: $50 per event 

Coach’s Per Diem: $60/day split between attending families

Coach’s Lodging: Cost of hotel split between attending families

Coach’s Flight: Cost of airfare (if not within reasonable driving distance) split between attending families

Lodging will typically be booked with the tournament’s official provider to receive the best available rates, but we always search for the best deals to keep costs as low as possible for attendees.

Important Notes

• Tournaments that require an overnight stay or airfare need to be booked well in advance to get the best rates, so please submit your request for strip coaching as soon as possible, especially for regional and national events.

• If a coach has multiple athletes fencing at the same time, they will do their best to give every athlete equal attention, but may end up missing a bout once in a while. If a bout is missed, feel free to record a video of the bout for our coaches to review and provide feedback on later.

• Our coaches will not coach two of their athletes fencing against each other. If this happens, feel free to record a video of the bout for our coaches to review and provide feedback on later.
